Northwest
The neighborhoods of Northwest are built around the funky/quirky vibe of the Wells Street Corridor, which offers ethnic foods, unique shops, and a vibe all its own.
Must Do
- Start in downtown's Promenade Park and shop the Wells Street Corridor for some unique flavors of Fort Wayne
- Stroll peaceful Lindenwood Cemetery to "meet" many of Fort Wayne's founders.
- Many of Fort Wayne's youth sports venues are found in this district - including SportONE Fieldhouse, and SportONE Icehouse.
Restaurants
Along with the restaurants on the Wells Street Corridor, visitors to this district will enjoy the restaurants on West Main Street including Paula's Seafood (try the catch of the day alongside some key lime pie), Redwood Inn (the sausage calzones are legendary), and Junk Ditch Brewing Co (where the farm-to-fork menu changes daily.)
Things To Do
The University of St. Francis can be found here and is home to outstanding arts and sporting events for all to enjoy. Fort Wayne FC use the stadium at University of St. Francis for home games.
Parks
Lindenwood Nature Preserve is a lovely wooded park in the heart of the city. Stroll a boardwalk through the woods for a mile on the Trail of Reflection to reach one of the most beautiful ponds in Allen County - reflecting the vibrant colors of each season.
Shop
The Wells Street Corridor is home to the famous Hyde Brothers Books, Honey Plant, among many other unique shops.
Nightlife
O'Sullivan's on Main Street and Deer Park near St. Francis are two hot-spots come evening!
