Where can I park in Fort Wayne?

We have a great resource that gives insider tips for parking in downtown Fort Wayne, and all around the city.

Parking for the Fort Wayne Visitors Center is available at street meters along the southbound side of Harrison, and in the surface lot of the Allen County Public Library, with scan to pay.

What outdoor activities are available in Fort Wayne?

There are also lots of fun things to do outside on your own or as a family. If you enjoy biking, kayaking, or canoeing then make a stop at Fort Wayne Outfitters to rent a bike, kayak, or canoe and explore Fort Wayne’s rivers. If you’re more into leisure walks make a stop at LC Nature ParkEagle Marsh, or Fox Island to see some great wildlife. Kids will enjoy visiting one of the many splash pads in Fort Wayne. Most all of Fort Wayne’s festivals are held outdoors too! History lovers may like a walk around the Old Fort. You can also catch a foul ball at a Fort Wayne TinCaps baseball game. Plus, you can enjoy a concert or free movie at the Foellinger Outdoor Theatre. And, don’t forget the Fort Wayne Zoo! Be sure to check on our calendar of events as well.

Is there a downtown shopping district? 

There is no concentrated area of shopping, but we do have handy boutique lists that can help determine where to start your shopping adventure. If you’re looking to shop downtown, make sure you visit some of the great boutiques on The Landing or Wayne Street like the Find, don’t forget Creative Women of the World! Plus, make a visit to the West Central shops like Fancy and Staple and more! Also, just a few blocks away is Union Street Market at Electric Works, a food hall and marketplace with several local vendors.
