Why Fort Wayne:
Over the years, the Indiana-Kentucky Synod Assembly has met in nine different cities - all in locations with large membership numbers.  However, after a board vote, the group decided to alternate between an Indiana and Kentucky location, rotating Indiana's region between Indianapolis and Fort Wayne.  Working closely with Visit Fort Wayne and the Grand Wayne Convention Center, the Indiana-Kentucky Synod was sold on the "City of Churches" for several reasons, including an affordable convention center, two attached-downtown hotels, helpful event staff, comfortable setting and convenient dining and entertainment choices. The group found so much success in Fort Wayne that it may return to our city in the near future.
