Centered in the middle of Foster Park, golfers experience a true taste of nature while they play near the St. Marys River and surrounding woods.

Foster Golf Course, which opened in 1928, was also the first public golf course in Fort Wayne.

The well-manicured greens features intermittent bunkers, and the course is walker-friendly, although electric golf carts are available for a nominal fee.

Operation hours are from sunrise to sunset, but may be adjusted due to inclement weather. Call ahead to confirm.

Weekday rates start at $12 for nine holes or $19 for 18 holes. On weekends, green fees are $13 for nine holes, or $22 for 18 holes.

As an added special, the city is offering half-priced green fees after 6 p.m. now through the end of the season!

Additionally, a variety of specials are offered all season, from lunch hour reduced green fees and a kids play free deal! Ladies specials, and even weekday cart special, are also available.

Foster Golf Course is located at 3900 Old Mill Road and is operated and maintained by Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation.

Foster Park itself was founded in 1912 courtesy a donation by Samuel and David Foster, and their families. The park today includes play equipment, tennis courts, flower gardens, a paved walking path, a replica of President Abraham Lincoln's birth cabin and more. Enjoy these amenities before or after your next round!
