Your Guide to the 2024 Middle Waves Music Festival
Beyond this year's top-notch music lineup, there is so much to celebrate at Middle Waves. Wondering how to plan your best festival experience? We checked in with the Middle Waves crew for their top festival tips!
Top Tips:
1. Live Your Life Alive 🤘
The #1 rule of Middle Waves —
Have a crazy good time and abide by the festival motto: Live Your Life Alive
2. See the Bands You DON'T Know!
Of course, Houndmouth and Alvvays are going to put on one heck of a performance, but arguably the best part of any music festival is discovering your new favorite band. Even Lizzo herself is a 2018 Middle Waves alum! Browse your full 2024 MW Lineup.
3. Bring the Whole Dang Family
Not only are children 12 and under only $10 (when accompanied by an adult with a paid ticket), but they will have a blast at the art zone with a bracelet making station, the creativity zone with musical instruments, and the game zone with classic yard games for all ages.
NOTE: It's possible there may be some PG-13 stage banter during some Middle Waves performances.
4. Water. Water. AND MORE WATER.
Let's be honest. There is no time in your busy festival schedule to get dehydrated and not feel your best. You've got great performances to see! So remember to drink LOTS of water, stay hydrated, eat some snacks, and while you're at it, apply that SPF generously.
5. Stay Snacky
Parkview Field has a huge variety of food and vendors to fuel a full day of rocking out. They also provide for many dietary restrictions and preferences so you don't have to worry about finding some tasty options.
6. Rain or Shine
Middle Waves is a rain or shine event, so don't let a little rain ruin a good time. Pack that clear poncho (so everyone can still enjoy your awesome festival outfit) or umbrella and let the rain add to the experience (I mean, has a little rain ever stopped Taylor Swift?)
7. Go to the Afterparty!
If you're not ready for the party to end, then buckle up. After the last act closes out the festival, we're keeping the party going with After Waves hosted by Downtown Fort Wayne from 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. at The Porch Off Calhoun where DJ J. Tubbs will be spinning the hottest beats! The best part admission is free!
8. Make Your Mark
Don't miss the opportunity to make your mark on the 2024 festival in the Art Zone where you can witness live art in action and even try your own hand at crafting masterpieces.

9. Get Weird ✌️
We're a music festival. We don't judge what you wear. Better yet, we'll encourage you to dress up and have a blast! We love glitter. We love bright colors. We love loud style. And most of all — we love you.
