Convention
Downtown Fort Wayne features the Grand Wayne Convention Center, which hosts many meetings, tradeshows, conventions, and other events, every year. The Grand Wayne also features 3 hotels, the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown, the Hampton Inn and Suites, and the Hilton Fort Wayne, all with access to the convention facility. A fourth downtown hotel, The Bradley, is Fort Wayne's first boutique hotel, opened in 2021. This is just a few blocks from Grand Wayne Convention Center.
Sports Tournament
Fort Wayne hosts dozens of sports tournaments yearly. From youth sports to the NCAA, there's always someone we're cheering for. These hotels welcome teams and families. And you can reach your tournament quickly with fast access via I-69, I-469, and local routes.
With sports facilities spread out over town, you'll have plenty of options. Fortunately, there's an easy way to start, pick by the venue.
You may want to look at our Coliseum area hotels for events at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum, SportONE/Parkview Icehouse and Fieldhouse, or Spiece Fieldhouse.
Our Southwest area hotels may be better for events at the ASH Centre/World Baseball Academy, or hosted by local schools and colleges.
Memorial Coliseum and Purdue Fort Wayne
A centerpiece of the community for more than 70 years, the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum hosts major events like the Vera Bradley Annual Outlet Sale, as well as sports events like Komet Hockey. And with everything else, like weddings, tradeshows, and commencements, you'll likely need something in our Coliseum area hotels list.
Located across the street is the Holiday Inn at Purdue Fort Wayne and the Memorial Coliseum. This hotel is a top-level training facility for Purdue Fort Wayne, and a pedestrian bridge across the Saint Joe River links the hotel to the university campus.
