Front entrance facade of Hyde Brothers Booksellers on Wells Street in Fort Wayne, Indiana

Hyde Brothers Booksellers

Hyde Brother's Bookstore is one of my favorite treasure hunting places for a new book. It’s an old-school bookstore complete with floor to ceiling bookcases and rolling library ladders. If you are like me and wanted to live in a library when you were little, you must make a stop here.

You might need a treasure map to find your way through the more than 150,000 titles! A treasure of Fort Wayne, Hyde’s is a wonderful place to explore and get lost both in the store and in a good book. It’s no wonder that it has been voted “Best Bookstore” by Fort Wayne Newspapers and FortWayne.com’s “Reader’s Choice Best Of” list.

The Orchard Gallery

Orchard Gallery

Orchard Gallery is a brightly lit space, filled with color and a variety of art pieces. There's jewelry, ceramics, paintings, woodwork, glass and much more.

The front part of the gallery holds the work of the featured artist of the month, which means inventory is constantly changing. The rest of the gallery holds pieces year round from local artists such as Kim Rorick and Kristy Jo Beber.
