Indiana Tourism Association Announces Award Winners:
Visit Fort Wayne Receives Two Indiana Tourism Awards
Indiana's annual tourism conference was held March 20-22 in Elkhart, Indiana. The Indiana Tourism Awards were presented as part of this conference, on Tuesday, March 21.
The awards honor tourism businesses who are creative, innovative and maximize the dollars invested.
Visit Fort Wayne was the only organization to be honored with two awards:
Best New Merchandise for our Phan Gear Poster Print Series
Judges said "I just think this is a great way to get long-lasting community pride and promote Fort Wayne's toursim assets. Great initiative. Long shelf-life, low budget. Well done! What a clever idea, and the prints are gorgeous. Appreciate commission back to local artists."
Additional credit to local artist, Phan Gear.
Best Visitors Guide
Judges said "Love the headers on each page. Clean layout. The color-coding of sections was smart. The scattering of interesting content throughout made me look through the entire magazine."
Additional credit to our graphic designer, Russett Design
Two hundred tourism leaders from around the state came to the Indiana Tourism Conference for networking and educational sessions over the three-days. The Indiana Tourism Association’s mission is advocating the value of tourism in Indiana and supporting the best practices of its members.
Established in 1980, the association partners with the Indiana Destination Development Corporation, Association of Indiana Restaurant and Lodging and other statewide associations to support tourism investment and promotion as an economic contributor to the state.
