• A Christmas Carol

Arts United- Parkview Physicians Group Artslab

Recurring weekly on Sunday, Friday, Saturday until November 18, 2018

    2018-11-09 19:30:00 2018-11-18 21:30:00 A Christmas Carol
A Christmas Carol (November 9 – 11 and 16 – 18) Arguably Charles Dickens’ best loved story, this adaptation breathes fresh and funny life into the classic tale of Ebenezer Scrooge and the three Ghosts who haunt him on Christmas Eve. At the beginning of this lively version, a decidedly third-rate English touring company finds itself without actors to play Scrooge and Tiny Tim! Their bare-bones rendition of the story makes clever use of simple hand props, but also includes puppets, dance, hand bells and choral singing. Audiences will be drawn into the fun of a play-within-a-play. • An Ideal Husband

Arts United- Parkview Physicians Group Artslab

Recurring weekly on Sunday, Friday, Saturday until March 3, 2019

    2019-02-22 19:30:00 2019-03-03 21:30:00 An Ideal Husband
An Ideal Husband (February 22 – 24 and March 1 – 3) Oscar Wilde’s witty romantic comedy is the perfect antidote to dreary late winter blahs. Sir Robert Chiltern is a paragon of public and private virtue, respected by his peers and adored by both his wife and his sister, Mabel. Why then does the mysterious Mrs. Cheveley want to blackmail him? Meanwhile, family friend Lord Goring politely spars with Mabel and watches Mrs. Cheveley with interest. A clever, suspenseful commentary on relationships and integrity from the author of The Importance of Being Earnest. Rated PG for subject matter.

Performances at PPG ArtsLab
Friday/Saturday curtain 7:30 PM
Sunday Matinee curtain 2:30 PM
Auer Center for Arts & Culture Fort Wayne, IN America/Indiana/Winamac

  • The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane

Arts United- Parkview Physicians Group Artslab

Recurring weekly on Sunday, Friday, Saturday until May 5, 2019

2019-04-26 19:30:00 2019-05-05 21:30:00 The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane
The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane (April 26 – 28 and May 3 – 5) afO’s all-ages show for this season is a funny, poignant, creative staging of Kate DiCamillo’s beautiful fable about learning to love. Edward Tulane is a large (and expensive) china rabbit. Voiced in the play by The Musician, Edward begins as a self-centered creature. Then a series of harrowing accidents find him loved, in turn, by an elderly couple, a hobo, and a dying girl. A cast of four brings to life a wide array of characters, including children and a dog.
