FORT WAYNE, Ind. Visit Fort Wayne is proud to announce that the Outdoor Writers Association of America will be hosting its annual conference in Fort Wayne, Indiana on June 2-3, 2018. It will be held at the Grand Wayne Convention Center and the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown Fort Wayne.

The Outdoor Writers Association of America is a group of communicators who aim to set high ethical and communication standards, encourage the conservation of natural resources, and mentor the the next generation of professional outdoor communicators.

OWAA's 2018 conference will include pre/post event trips, networking opportunities, and many education sessions.

The conference will also include a free workshop open to the public entitled "Becoming an Outdoors Communicator" on Friday, June 1 from 3-6pm at Fort Wayne's Courtyard by Marriott Downtown. It will feature some of OWAA's top pros giving presentations about their specialties, from writing for magazines to filming outdoor television and everything in between.

The annual economic impact of this group is estimated at $189,753.
