Celebrity Takeover of the Fort Wayne Visitors Center for National Travel and Tourism Week
May 7-13 is National Travel and Tourism Week!
On Tuesday, May 9, join Fort Wayne celebrities as they take over the Visitors Center — greeting visitors, taking phone calls, providing maps and resources, and sharing their recommendations with Fort Wayne’s visitors.
From 8 am-5 pm on Tuesday, residents and visitors are invited to enjoy treats, discounts on Fort Wayne merchandise and apparel, and local celebrity sightings at the Visitors Center.
Participating local celebrities include Mayor Tom Henry, Johnny TinCap and Mike Nutter from the Fort Wayne TinCaps, Rick Schuiteman from the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo, a Paralympic Goalball Athlete, several media personalities, and more!
Join us to celebrate tourism in Fort Wayne and the great resources available to residents and visitors in the Fort Wayne Visitors Center — located at 927 S. Harrison St. in downtown Fort Wayne.

And then, on Saturday, May 13 — Stop by the Visitors Center to shop for Mom, part of the Mother’s Day Downtown festivities!
Enjoy special treats for Mom or the mother-figure in your life, and enter for a chance to win a Fort Wayne-themed prize giveaway. In addition, every guest in the Visitors Center can pull a discount card for 10%, 15%, or 20% off their purchase!
We are thrilled to partner with Healthier Moms and Babies to collect diaper and wipe donations at the Visitors Center during Mother’s Day Downtown. On May 13, bring in diapers and/or wipes for the donation bin and receive 20% OFF your in-store purchase.
