July 2025
Downtown Fort Wayne filed a petition necessary to reauthorize its Economic Improvement District (EID) for another 10-year term. The filing of the petition marks a key milestone in continuing the enhanced services and programs that have supported Downtown’s growth and vibrancy for the past three decades.
With clear support from property owners within the district, the petition will now be formally submitted to the Fort Wayne City Clerk’s Office. From there, it will move to the Fort Wayne City Council for consideration and final approval.
Goal: To transform Fort Wayne / Allen County into a premier accessible winter destination by creating engaging and memorable winter experiences for residents and visitors.
