Visit Fort Wayne Education Session:
Tourism Improvement Districts

A Tourism Improvement District, or TID, is a supplemental funding mechanism for tourism promotion and destination development activities. Funds raised through a transactional assessment (not a tax) within a designated geographic area are used to provide services desired by, and directly benefitting, the businesses in the district.

Both the Indiana Senate and the House have considered bills to allow communities to pursue forming TIDs if they choose. This education session will enable you to learn more about this tool already implemented in 23 states.
