The Accidental Entrepreneur


Did you start a business in the last year based on financial need or your circumstances created by the COVID-19 pandemic? Now, are you are playing catch up on the logistics of managing and building your business? Join us for the Accidental Entrepreneur Mastermind starting May 6, 2021. This six-week Mastermind will meet from 1:30-3:00pm on a weekly basis for six weeks, ending on June 10, 2021. This is a no-cost, high-value opportunity for new business owners who launched their businesses in the past year.

What is a mastermind? Masterminds are collaborative learning spaces for peer-to-peer engagement. The Accidental Entrepreneur Mastermind will be facilitated by WBC EmPWR Program Manager, Sarah Lance. She will provide, tools, resources and direction as the group progresses through the process. This mastermind will require 1-2 hours per week outside of the mastermind for e-learning and preparation.

The Accidental Mastermind will take participants through 6 key areas of business management and planning.

Week 1: Defining your business model and unique value proposition.

Week 2: Who is your customer? What is customer segmentation?

Week 3: Finance and Accounting: What is your financial strategy? How do you read your profit loss? How to understand cash flow?

Week 4: Marketing strategy and planning

Week 5: Legal Registration, Licensing, and Insurance, Oh my.

Week 6: Annual/Monthly goal setting, Operations Management and Hiring
