On April 28, 2018, the North Anthony Corridor will be celebrating Record Store Day, an annual event to recognize the unique culture surrounding independently-owned record stores. As in years' past, Wooden Nickel Records (3422 N. Anthony Blvd.) will be hosting a full day of activities, starting at 8am and going until 9pm. Bands will be performing throughout the day, complimentary food and coffee will be available, free prizes and goodie bags will be given out and much more!
There will be games at Rhapsody Art Gallery and Studio (3400 N. Anthony Blvd.), and at The Bookmark (3420 N. Anthony Blvd.), stop in for a book signing by Vicky Hamilton, author of Appetite for Dysfunction: A Cautionary Tale, and former manager for bands including Guns N' Roses, Motley Crue, Poison, Faster Pussycat, and Stryper.
Also, the North Anthony Corridor Group will be sponsoring a beer tent with Old Crown Coffee Roasters providing the beer. Bands, in addition to those at Wooden Nickel, will also be performing. The tent will be open from 11am to 3pm, and four door prizes will be handed out throughout that time period. Food trucks will also be on hand for your culinary needs.
