The origins of MC5 can be traced to the friendship (and basement jam sessions) of guitarists Wayne Kramer and Fred Smith. A promising beginning earned them a 1969 Rolling Stone cover and a reputation for energetic, polemical live performances – one of which was recorded as their debut album “Kick Out the Jams.” Today, Kramer celebrates the 50th anniversary of the album with world-tour MC50 headlined by a line-up of special guests. MC50 welcomes fans from all across the world – every age, color, species, gender – to enjoy the music that means so much to so many played exactly as it was intended.
