About
Andrew Constantine, conductor
Vadim Gluzman, violin
Music Director, Andrew Constantine brings you two of his favorite pieces. The evening starts off with a cast of characters decked out in Shakespearean period costumes to bring the story of “Falstaff” to life through Elgar’s symphonic study of the work. Then, Vadim Gluzman, performing with the Philharmonic for the first time, will perform Beethoven’s only violin concerto– thought to be the greatest violin concerto of all time.
Elgar - Falstaff, Op. 68
Beethoven - Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 61
