KINGS KALEIDOSCOPE WITH MIKE MAINS AND THE BRANCHES

About

Kings Kaleidoscope are a faith-based alternative rock band from Seattle, Washington. Employing a wide array of styles, from math rock and hip-hop to chamber pop and anthemic indie rock, the group continues to blur genres and find favor with both secular and nonsecular audiences. Led by singer/songwriter Chad Gardner, Kings Kaleidoscope formed in 2010 at Mars Hill Church where Gardner was a worship leader. Looking for a big, orchestral indie pop sound, he slowly assembled the ten-piece group, handpicking players from within the church and developing their lush sound a bit more every week.

In early 2013, Gardner and the band announced they were leaving Mars Hill and the church’s label. They continue to release new music under Bad Christian Records and indie label Tooth & Nail. Kings Kaleidoscope would produce multiple conceptual and deeply personal records, collaborating with several hip-hop artists and producers, and reaching the Top Ten on both the Christian and independent album charts.
