About
In March of 2019, the Indiana Plein Air Painters Association (IPAPA) and Indiana DNR - Division of Historic Preservation & Archaeology (DHPA) announced an exhibition challenge. The year 2020 is the 50th anniversary of Indiana’s place in the National Register of Historic Places program. In addition, the state’s 2000th listing in the Register is pending. IPAPA members were invited to depict any officially designated place in Indiana, to commemorate these milestones.
This exhibition draws together 60 works by 42 artists of the Indiana Plein Air Painters Association and includes historic places from every corner of Indiana. Artworks depict the full range of the state’s listed sites, from county seat towns, to ethnic heritage sites, historic houses, farmsteads, grand civic buildings, and tranquil parks.
This exhibition is supported by a grant from the Edna Foundation Fund.
FWMoA is closed Mondays.
