To kick off our Fort Wayne Jewish Families Project, the Northeast Indiana Jewish Genealogy Society will be hosting a community-wide open house on Sunday, September 22nd at the Rifkin Campus, from noon to 3:00 p.m. Among the activities we plan to set up are:

• Ask the Experts – Curt Witcher, ACPL
• Fort Wayne Jewish Families Database – check out our family tree, record your family information
• Scan photos – bring in your old pictures to digitize and contribute
• Identify photos – help identify photos from the congregations and bring in your own “mystery pics”
• Oral histories – sign up to record your video
• Old-fashioned photo booth for family pictures
• Indiana Jewish Historical Society table - learn about their archives and purchase publications
• Kids’ table with family trees and other activities

Plan to come and bring your family to celebrate our community and preserve our history!
