Artists will be onsite to help turn you into a Calaca (Spanish word for skeleton). Enter to win the Best Calaca/Skeleton Costume Contest.
Dia de los Muertos can be traced back to the Catholic holiday of All Saints' Day. Traditions connected with the holiday include building private altars honoring the deceased using sugar skulls, marigolds, and the favorite foods & beverages of the departed and visiting graves with these as gifts. Our skeletons will join up with zombies and flood the streets of Fort Wayne during the annual Zombie Walk starting at 5:30pm! Scare up the whole family and come down and join us!
Proceeds from this event support LC operational funds and scholarships (501 (c) (3).
