Curatorial Spotlight. Crime & the Car: John Dillinger: Hoosier Hoodlum

On the second Sunday of each month, members of our curatorial department will offer unique insights into the different aspects of the Museum through interesting and thought-provoking presentations and demonstrations.

Join us on Sunday, April 11, 2021 for the first of a three-part series looking at Crime & the Car. Part one will explore the history of John Dillinger and the automobiles he used during his short crime spree. Our professional museum staff will deliver a presentation and be on hand to answer all your questions regarding the subject. In this series we will be exploring the relationships between the crime and the automobile. In the first part we will look at the history of John Dillinger’s crime spree, including his robbery of the Auburn police department, and the automobiles he utilized to make his getaways.

This presentation is free to all members of the public with a regular museum admission and will take place in the Education Center at the Museum. For more information please contact the museum by phone at (260) 925-1444 or email at
