About

Opera on Tap Fort Wayne returns for a VERY special February event in collaboration with Manchester University! Manchester is working on the collegiate premiere of the 2017 opera "The Invention of Morel" by Stewart Copeland (founder and drummer of '80s hit band The Police), guest directed by the Metropolitan Opera's Kathleen Smith Belcher. Students from the cast will be joining us to perform parts of the opera, and the director will be in attendance to say a few words about the show! What a treat!

Join our guests and our local singers on Fat Thursday as we serenade you with songs of the Seven Deadly Sins (pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, and sloth) because those pretty much cover the plot points of an opera, including "The Invention of Morel." Naturally, we’ll be dressed in our best Mardi Gras attire (in winter). So bring your beads and join us as we sing of the operatic vices at Trubble Brewing Company before letting them go for Lent. Or...at least until the next performance ;D

DISCLAIMER: Due to the unprecedented (and very welcome) popularity of our previous show, we will have limited seating for our audience at this event. Be sure to come early, and grab dinner and drinks to support our friends at Trubble!
