About the Art Farm:
Lisa Vetter & Paul Siefert live in rural Indiana with “Pinkerton” the trick dog and one cool barn cat. They have spent well over a decade restoring “The Art Farm,” their 1860 farmhouse and the outbuilding that houses their studio. Their philosophy that life is art translates in the functional found object assemblage pieces and jewelry that they create for both love and money.
Their work is inspired by the natural world and is in response to our throwaway society. Americans dispose of more usable items in a year than some countries produce. The found objects they collect tell the stories of bygone travels, miscalculated gifts, and can be a historical reminder of generations past. By creatively "upcycling" these objects with other media they not only offer a new story to an old item, they also challenge the viewer to observe these everyday items in a completely different way.
Both Lisa and Paul hold degrees from Purdue University. In the art they currently produce both are self taught and could be considered “outsider” artists. They have been collaborating artists for over 20 years.
Their work can be found nationally at juried art fairs and occasionally at their studio in Spencerville. They create a Holiday Pop Up Gallery every December in their studio and also are a part of “The Rural Studio Tour” in May. For more information visit their website at
