Be A Tourist All Year Long
On the second Sunday of every September, local attractions open their doors for FREE to the community during the annual Be a Tourist in Your Own Hometown event. This year, we encourage you to get out and be a tourist in your hometown all year long! Check back every month to find the new attraction of the month.
August Attraction of the Month: Promenade Park
Fort Wayne’s brand-new riverfront park opens with a 3-day celebration August 9 – 11. Join the festivities and explore throughout the month to experience every aspect of Promenade Park, including:

During your visit, post a photo on social media with #BeATouristFW. At the end of the month, we’ll select a winning photo! The winner will receive a Fort Wayne gift from the Visitors Center. You can also upload your photo below.
