One of Christian music’s top groups, Casting Crowns, will perform in concert at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne on Thursday, March 1, at 7:00 p.m. The concert is part of the band’s national concert tour, titled the "Come To The Well". The title reflects the band’s newest album of the same name, released October 18, 2011.
Since forming in Atlanta in 2003, Casting Crowns has won a number of accolades, including 14 Gospel Music Association Dove Awards. In 2010, the band was awarded Dove Artist of the Year. In addition, the band has earned three Grammys and an American Music Award. Three of the band’s albums have achieved Platinum status (Casting Crowns, Lifesong, Altar and The Door). Casting Crowns has been named Billboard magazine's top-selling Christian act for the past four years.
A single from the band’s first album, "Who Am I,” achieved RIAA certified Gold status, selling more than 500,000 copies. It is one of only 12 Christian tracks to secure Gold status.
For their Fort Wayne appearance Casting Crowns will share the stage with Matthew West, Royal Tailor and Lindsay McAul.
