I was raised in the shadows of The Arcola Truck and Tractor Pulls.  From the smells of the whole hog sausage sandwiches to the roars of the tractors, I soaked up every minute at this community event!   It was here, I learned to be a community volunteer during my childhood.   I loved the large crowds with people from all over the Midwest who supported my hometown sport.  To see so many people who came from near and far, made my heart swell with pride for my tiny-dot-on-a-map community.   Even though, I don't live in town, I will stop by and if time permits to volunteer and see you!  Your family can come watch tractors pull a weighted sled, and even eat a whole-hog sausage sandwich.

The event takes place on July 9, 10 and 11, 2015.  On Thursday night, the event is sanctioned by the Michindoah Pullers Association.  Friday and Saturday nights' events are sanctioned by the National Tractor Pullers Association.

The gates of the Branning Pull Park (located adjacent of Arcola Elementary School) will open at 5:00 p.m. each night.  The track pull will start promptly at 7:00 p.m. each night.  The unincorporated town of Arcola is located between Illinois Road and Highway 30, approximately three miles from the Allen/Whitley County line.  Area hotels are a short drive from the Pull Park and other area attractions.

Tractor pulls are a great event for the whole family, especially if you have boys!  Some of the tractors do get very loud, so be purchase earplugs beforehand!   The best part is they support the Arcola Volunteer Fire Department, which serves Lake Townships and other area townships.
