Located in a building that used to be the City Light & Power plant, Science Central is a great place to take the young and young at heart to learn about various aspects of science and how things work.

Although this attraction is tailored towards the younger crowd, I love going to Science Central, because I learn something new every time I visit. Their newest addition to the building is called Science on a Sphere which is a program developed by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. It is a global display system that uses computers and video projectors to display planetary data onto a six diameter sphere. They have several shows throughout the day.

There is always something new when you visit Science Central. They have touring exhibits that change a few times each year.

Science Central is a perfect indoor activity for the family on those cold winter days or rainy spring days!
