“I just don't hear anyone else making the music I'm making in my head, so I'll have to do it myself.” Bob Dylan

Bob Dylan released his first album titled Bob Dylan in 1962. Fifty years later, the 71 year old legendary artist is still playing the music that only he can make. Music that has become the anthems for generations of Americans and covered by other legends like The Rolling Stones. On August 24, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. the eleven-time Grammy Award winner, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Kennedy Center honoree, and the winner of the Presidential Medal of Freedom and Pulitzer Prize will be performing for one night only at Fort Wayne’s Parkview Field. This show is sure to be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for music fans. Mr. Dylan is on an international tour where his set lists have included Tangled Up in Blue, Rollin’ and Tumblin’-A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna-Fall, Thunder On The Mountain, Make You Feel My Love, Blowin’ in the Wind, Like a Rolling Stone, and All Along The Watchtower. There is no way to know what the Fort Wayne set list will include, but this little sampling alone is more than worth the price of admission. I was introduced to the music of Bob Dylan when I was a kid. My parents, children of the 60s, are music enthusiasts. So, at 10 I could sing along with Blowin’ In The Wind, Like a Rolling Stone, and the other classics as though I was also a child of the 60s. I purchased my first Bob Dylan album in the early 90s - Blood On The Tracks, which was his 18th release. It remains my all time favorite today. No one can do If You See Her Say Hello the way he does it, though many have tried. Needless to say, I will not be missing this performance! Mr. Dylan’s current tour that brings him to Fort Wayne precedes the release of his newest studio album, Tempest. Tempest will be released on September 11, 2012 to coincide with the 50th Anniversary of the release of his debut album in 1962. Tempest will feature 10 brand new tunes. General admission tickets to Mr. Dylan’s one night stand in Fort Wayne are priced at $51 plus applicable fees and are available at the Parkview Field box office, charge by phone at 260-482-6400, and online at TinCaps.com or Parkviewfield.com. Tickets are also available as long as they last at the Wooden Nickel Records in Fort Wayne, Karma Records in Plymouth & Warsaw, Orbit Music in Mishawaka, Audio Specialists in South Bend and the LaPorte Civic Auditorium box office in LaPorte.
