Get your inner Halloween spook out and rock along with The Ghost Brothers of Darkland County at the Embassy Theatre at 7:30 p.m. on October 24, 2013!
This unique musical is the result of the talented minds of horror author Stephen King and musicians John Mellancamp and T-Bone Burnett, and first debuted at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, GA in 2012. Artists on the original soundtrack include such luminaries as Sheryl Crow, Elvis Costello, Kris Kristofferson, Rosanne Cash, Meg Ryan, Matthew McConaughey, and others.
The story line tells of two sets of brothers – the ghosts of Jack and Andy, dead in a murder/suicide and their nephews, the living Frank and Drake, who seem destined to repeat the same history – and a beautiful young girl. Lake Belle Reve, MI is where the violence occurred, and there is a witness who needs to decide whether to tell what he knows in time to save his own troubled sons.
Accordingly, the music is somber but also beautiful, and there will be “at least six cast members” at the Embassy, according to Jared Duymovic of the Embassy Theatre. Call the theatre at 260.424.5665 for tickets or order them online through Ticketmaster
