The ghouls and ghosts are coming out to play in Fort Wayne's downtown. The Downtown Improvement District's annual Fright Night is back and better than ever this year. On October 18th the downtown will be transformed into a town of legends. During the day, stop by the Allen County Public Library to enjoy some not-so-spooky Halloween crafts. While you are there, take part in the annual Zombie walk and take a bite of a delicious hot dog from Bravas, one of Fort Wayne's local food trucks. After that, pop over to the Community Center for a little spooky story time. The Fort Wayne Youth Theater takes a new twist on some of your favorite fairy tales and will put on a show that you won't want to miss. This free event begins at 2:00 pm.The Community center will also be hosting a myriad of fun and free family friendly activities during the day! Another don't miss from the day's festivities is Science Central.Kids can make their own batch of Zombie snot, watch the dissection of an eyeball and compete in a catapult challenge that will leave heads rolling. Later in the evening the activities really start to heat up! Fort Wayne's Historic Embassy Theatre is featuring a screening of the season's classic Ghostbusters. The film will start at 6:30 pm, but make sure to come a half hour early to hear some spooky ghost stories in the lobby of the Indiana Hotel. If you're lucky, you may even see the Embassy's resident ghost! Expereince another piece of unique Fort Wayne history at one of the Old Fort's Lantern tours. This haunted location is home to the replica of the city's historic namesake fort. ARCH will also be offering tours of all the haunted locations around the city; these tours are a great way to get a unique view of Fort Wayne.
