Do you recall the classic fairy tale of a small girl named Thumbelina and her adventures with toads, moles, and other creatures? The beloved literary fairy tale will come to life in the form of a ballet on March 14th, 2015 by the Fort Wayne Ballet youth company. We will have the chance to see the famous story about a miniature girl in action.

The performance is sure to be a beautiful show, as it features talented young dancers. Youth ranging from age nine to age fifteen will be dancing in the show. Thumbelina is just one of the shows that are featured in their "Family Series" of performances. The Family Series is a series of performances which contain folk, fables, and fairy tales. The show following Thumbelina in the Family Series will be "The Secret Garden" which will take place on May 9th, 2015. The performance of Thumbelina will be shown at 10:00am and 11:30am at the Fort Wayne Ballet Studios on March 14th. It is located at 300 East Main Street and the tickets are $10 each. This is a fairly inexpensive way to spend a Saturday with the fairy tale and ballet lover in your life.
The approximate run times of the performances are 35 minutes. The short show times are great for the younger audiences. The post show will have autographs, photos, and a special surprise. All are welcome to attend the post show gathering. Join us in supporting the Fort Wayne Ballet youth company by attending their Family Series of performances, starting with Thumbelina!
