Summer Fun Concerts

Nationally-renowned Chicago will swing into town at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2017, with a nostalgic “Color My World,” “Saturday in the Park” and more favorites from the 1970s when they first began recording all the way up through more recent albums.

This year marks their 50th anniversary; they’ve cut 36 albums and have sold more than 100,000,000 records to date.  The band’s many accomplishments include two of their musicians – Robert Lamm and James Pankow – being inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, according to a February 2017 press release.

Chicago’s lifetime achievements include Top 40 albums, two Grammy Awards and being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016 – but a full inventory of their awards and honors would take several pages to list.

Tickets are $50-$100, plus a $6 transaction fee.  Call 260-427-6000 for more information.

Friday, the very next night – at 8:00 p.m. The Foellinger Outdoor Theatre will resonate with the American progressive rock band Kansas with their adored two favorite one-million-seller gold singles: “Dust in the Wind” and “Carry On Wayward Son.”

These talented rockers presented by Pacific Coast Concerts have played all over the world and have appeared on the Billboard charts for more than 200 weeks in the ‘70s and ‘80s, cut 8 gold albums, produced three sextuple-Platinum albums and received many more honors over the years.

Tickets are $39-$99, plus a $6 transaction fee. Call 260-427-6000 for more information.
