Whether you've lived in Fort Wayne your whole life, moved here for one reason or another, or have made our city a destination for you to visit, you have probably discovered that Fort Wayne is a city with a lot to love. This is the idea behind a new collection of short videos created by Fort Wayne locals to encourage and grow an adoration for the place we call home - Love, Fort Wayne. Love, Fort Wayne was launched in 2013 by the 2013 Leadership Fort Wayne class as a way to get Fort Wayne residents to fall in love with our city all over again. The message was to encourage a love of Fort Wayne while changing perceptions of the city.
This was kicked off with a board game giving people an incentive to visit various downtown Fort Wayne dining and retail establishments. The 2014 Leadership Fort Wayne class is carrying on the Love, Fort Wayne message with a revamp of the project - introducing a positive image campaign for our city, captured via video testimonials from Fort Wayne residents and community leaders.
The archive of Love, Fort Wayne videos is composed of fifty-one testimonials from Fort Wayne residents of varying backgrounds, ethnicities, ages and occupations. These Fort Wayne locals volunteered their time to tell their own stories of their love of Fort Wayne. The hope is for the videos to be used by recruiters, government agencies, schools and anyone else interested in spreading the positive messages of what a great city Fort Wayne is to live, work and play in.
The archive of Love, Fort Wayne videos may be utilized by various entities and individuals to help spread the world about what people love most about our city. If you want to share your story, please contact loveftwayne@gmail.com and let them know what you love about Fort Wayne!. If you want to follow along with the project, you can visit the Love, Fort Wayne Facebook and Twitter accounts.
