Basketball season is officially back at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum for 2014-2015 with tickets now available for a myriad of upcoming hoops events.
Tickets are now available for the following basketball events at the Memorial Coliseum: single games of the 2014-2015 Fort Wayne Mad Ants season, the IPFW Men’s Basketball game vs. Jacksonville University on November 24, the ACC-Big Ten Women’s Basketball Challenge featuring the University of Notre Dame vs. Maryland on December 3, and the World Famous Harlem Globetrotters’ return to Fort Wayne on January 3.

The 2014-2015 Fort Wayne Mad Ants will tip off their home schedule on November 15 at 7:30 p.m., hosting the Sioux Falls Skyforce, which they beat in a playoffs series last season on a quest to the NBA D-League Championship. Last year’s NBADL Coach of the Year, Conner Henry, returns at the helm. Tickets for Mad Ants’ games at the Memorial Coliseum start at just $6.00 each. The IPFW Men’s Basketball team will host the Jacksonville University Dolphins, led by former Mastodons coach Tony Jasick, on Monday, November 24 at 7:00pm. The Mastodons have been picked as the preseason favorite to claim the 2014-15 Summit League basketball crown, while two players, Steve Forbes and Mo Evans, were named to preseason all-league squads. Tickets start at $10.50 and IPFW students are free with an ID on the night of the game.
The Notre Dame and Maryland women’s basketball teams will meet on Wednesday, December 3 at 7:00 p.m., in a rematch of their 2014 NCAA tournament semifinal, which the Irish claimed to advance to the national championship game. The contest, part of the ACC-Big Ten Women’s Basketball Challenge, will feature programs both picked to win their respective conferences in preseason voting. For the Irish, junior guard Jewell Lloyd was chosen as the Preseason ACC Player of the Year. Tickets are just $15.00 each for all seats, general admission, and are $9.00 for youth and seniors.
The World Famous Harlem Globetrotters will make their latest stop in Fort Wayne, on Saturday, January 3 at 12:00 p.m. during the 2015 “Washington Generals’ Revenge” Tour. Tickets start at $21.00 each. For information on group and scout tickets can be found at www.harlemglobetrotters.com
