Fort Wayne Youtheatre’s Presents Ruby Bridges

Can a six-year-old girl change the way a nation thinks?  She can if she's Ruby Bridges. If you're not familiar with the story, Ruby Bridges was a little African American girl living in Tylertown, Mississippi in 1960.  She was the first African-American child to attend an all-white school in the South.

History Center Hosts WWI Traveling Exhibit

Savor Fort Wayne Review - Mad Anthony’s

Bold Brews, Perfect Pizza, Fantastic Finishes

For Savor Fort Wayne, I took the opportunity to get to Mad Anthony's Brewing Company for their deep dish pizza and handcrafted brews. While I was there, I realized why Mad Anthony's has been a staple in the area for several generations. The food and beer are always top-notch and service is consistently good.

Stay Healthy in Fort Wayne

Oh, how the holidays can fray one’s nerves with so much activity, expectations, over-eating, and over-spending. I get annoyed at just the sight of all the glitter I have to clean up after the tree has been put away. I’m a freelance holistic health coach and wellness blogger among other things and even I over-do it on every level. Thankfully you can get some help from Pure Movement Pilates Studio located in downtown Fort Wayne.

Winterval - Fort Wayne's Winter Party

While a festival seems most suitable for summer temperatures, many cities across the globe host festivals in Winter.  Quebec City has a winter carnival (complete with camping - oh my!), Harbin, China has a snow and ice festival, and they celebrate Winterlude in Ottawa, Ontario.  Luckily, here in Fort Wayne, we don't have to sit Winter out either - we have Winterval!  Winterval, Fort Wayne's celebration of winter, is back for its fifth year on January 30, from 10 am-4 pm.

Wine Down

"We all eat and it would be a sad waste of opportunity to eat badly." - Anna Thomas

I don't know you Anna Thomas, but Wine Down Tapas and Tastings and me are with you! I went there with a group of friends on a recent Saturday evening and my first impression was of pleasant surprise that this type of restaurant concept could not only be found in Fort Wayne, but bustling and thriving. I soon found out why.
