We are pleased to have hosted the Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA) for a site tour this past week, in preparation for the 2012 Wing Ding Convention taking place here in Fort Wayne next summer.
A site-planning visit is an important part of what makes a great convention and we look forward to hosting the GWRRA Executive Director and COO in our community as they set the details for their upcoming event.

“These visits are very important, "explains Josie O’Donnell, Sales Manager for Visit Fort Wayne. “Their purpose is to express to the leaders of the organization that our facilities meet their expectations, and it helps the decision makers determine where they want to hold their break out meetings, educational seminars, and evening entertainment. In this case, we will also be taking them through their designated parade route so they can preview that experience firsthand as well."
"The end result is that the visiting group leaves Fort Wayne feeling reassured in their decision to bring the convention to Fort Wayne, and helps the planners make the best decisions about venues and other needs.“
Coordinating site planning visits like this one are just one of our many roles in the community. We assist groups like these with many diverse venues, restaurants, hotels and other amenities with the specific interests of the group and their meeting in mind. We offer them a level of service they will not forget, and assure them that coming to Fort Wayne was the right decision.
We enjoyed having GWRRA visit with us, and look forward to assisting the many other groups who will be planning their meetings in the coming years!
