Visit Fort Wayne Travels
February has been a month of planning and growth as Visit Fort Wayne represents and promotes our city at conferences and trade shows.
At the beginning of February, Visit Fort Wayne's Director of Sales, Auvis Cole, attended Destinations International Sales & Services Summit in Washington D.C., a discipline-focused and cross-functional gathering of senior leadership dedicated to meetings and events. The focus was also on continuing education and current trends in the sales and services arena within the hospitality industry.
While in Washington D.C., Cole focused on creating awareness of our newest market segment in both multi-cultural and African American Associations for the purposes of recruiting these groups to Fort Wayne in the future.
Cole then traveled to Dallas, Texas to attend the Religious Conference Management Association (RCMA) and meet with meeting planners during pre-scheduled appointments over the 3-day conference.
At the end of February, Visit Fort Wayne alongside the Allen County Public Library, will represent Fort Wayne as a genealogy destination at RootsTech in Salt Lake City, Utah. RootsTech is an international family and ancestry discovery conference where Fort Wayne will be represented alongside genealogy giants such as Ancestry.com and 23andMe.
To complete the February travels, Visit Fort Wayne will also be representing our city as a Group Tours destination at Heartland Travel Showcase in Lansing, Michigan accompanied by a representative from Vera Bradley to promote the activities, events, and destinations that Fort Wayne has to offer to group travelers.
