Director of Information Services
Megan has been with Visit Fort Wayne since September 2003, when she joined the organization as a Production Assistant, shortly after graduating from college. A native Hoosier and long-time member of the hospitality community in the Midwest, Megan attended Northrop High School and several colleges in the Indiana University system before graduating from IU in 2003 with a degree in Public Affairs with a concentration in Public Management.
Having both lived several places during college and immediately following, Megan and her husband Michael were glad to move back to Fort Wayne permanently in 2003.
In her duties as Information Services Manager, Megan assists all group, convention, and sports groups that are coming to the community with their pre-planning and informational needs, and also coordinates Visit Fort Wayne’s research and economic reporting efforts, group housing, on-site convention/sports information and supervises work in the Fort Wayne Visitors Center. This allows Megan to interact with most of the meeting & event planners that are bringing groups to Fort Wayne, and also the visitors to the community – a great experience!
Megan participates in several community activities in addition to her work at Visit Fort Wayne and serves on numerous event planning and advisory committees. A true Hoosier, Megan comes alive during basketball season which she and her husband enjoy together – unless IU is playing Purdue, then all bets are off. During the off-season Megan spends time with her husband and their every-growing animal brood – currently 1 cat and 2 dogs. A true lover of the City of Restaurants, Megan can often be found trying to decide which Mexican restaurant to have lunch, and hoping that she’ll get her daily serving of guacamole.
