
Director of Industry Partner Relations
Dennis joined the Visit Fort Wayne staff in 2007 as Special Projects Manager. Prior to that, he served on the board of Visit Fort Wayne. Before coming to Visit Fort Wayne, Dennis was Strategic Initiatives Manager in the Advertising Division of Fort Wayne Newspapers. He was responsible for commercial printing, database marketing and special publications, and was the business manager for Fort Wayne Magazine.
As Special Projects Manager of Visit Fort Wayne, Dennis directs and manages all programs relating to Partner Membership, which we define as marketing partners who contribute financially through advertising investments in our Visitors Guide. The Visitors Guide in the primary promotion piece for the community, with 75,000 copies in hotels and locations over the region.
In addition, Dennis oversees the ad sales and marketing content on our Info Fort Wayne electronic kiosk network. Info Fort Wayne is 14 touch-screen, interactive computers that deliver information, videos, maps and coupons to visitors at area hotels and attractions. As Special Projects Manager, Dennis represents Visit Fort Wayne coordinating events, community art projects and other one-time promotions.
Dennis was born and raised in Fort Wayne, and graduated from Northside High School and Indiana University. He has two grown children, and enjoys basketball and local history. He is a long time volunteer for Junior Achievement.
He loves Fort Wayne and is proud of his Hoosier heritage, which shows that his family farmed in Allen County as early as the 1830’s. The deed shows a portion of land once owned by John Chapman, aka Johnny Appleseed!
