Built in 1928, the Embassy Theatre is one of Indiana’s largest historic theatres. Originally known as the Emboyd, the majestic movie and vaudeville palace was saved from the wrecking ball in 1972 when volunteers banded together to form the Embassy Theatre Foundation. Their efforts protected the building for the good of the community and preserved the home of the Grande Page Pipe Organ.

Today, the Embassy is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and welcomes more than 110,000 patrons annually to a wide variety of performances and events. Featuring an expanded stage and restored Indiana Hotel Lobby and Mezzanine, the Embassy is a unique venue for national and local productions as well as private-party events.
