Her mixed media work depicts fanciful animals, sometimes with encouraging messages. She donates 20% of the income from the sale of her work to animal shelters and recue centers.</p> <p><em>"Life's trial and blessings play a very big part in what makes my art so important to me. To be given the gift to create... to bring joy and laughter to one's heart, to soothe a troubled heart... From Alastair Sim to George C. Scott to Mr. Magoo, a patina has developed over the universal story at the heart of this novel. She begins by cutting paper pieces by hand, advancing to the use of a CNC laser cutter for more complex pieces.</p> <p><em>"I am commited to both process and concept, and strive to discover how they coexist. The resulting work is skeletal, alien, organic, playful, emotional, and nostalgic but present. A variety of media will be represented including: ceramics, drawing, mixed media, painting, printmaking, and sculpture. Seth Green, Assistant Professor of Ceramics at IPFW, will be the curator of the exhibition. In more than 25 years FAME has touched the lives of thousands of children and families throught programs ranging from visiting artisits, to summer arts camp, to participation in music, art, and dance project that culminate in anannual spring Festival at the Grand Wayne Center.</p> <p>Our annual FAME exhibit showcases the talents of youth in the Fort Wayne and Allen County schools.
