This new permanent exhibit focuses on civil rights activities in and around Montgomery, Birmingham and Selma, Ala., from 1955 to 1965. Topics covered in this exhibit included Rosa Parks' refusal to give up her bus seat to a white man; the use of sit-ins, marches, boycotts and other nonviolent activities to seek change; and the violence and death faced by people taking part in the civil rights movement.

9 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday through Friday
noon-4 p.m. Saturday
By appointment only on Sunday
