The season finale promises to be a grand evening of vivid and irresistable music spanning the gamut of human experience. The evening begins with music from two very different ballets. The Overture to The Creatures of Prometheus, Beethoven's only dramatic dance piece, will be followed by Stravinsky's refined yet savage Rite of Spring. The Phil Chorus triumphantly returns to finish out the 2011-12 Masterworks season with Mozart's famously "unfinished" Requiem.
