Dedicated to the city of Leningrad and the millions of Soviet citizens who lost their lives in World War II, Shostakovich’s 7th Symphony is a symbol of resistance to totalitarianism and the spiritual unity of people of good will. Legendary pianist Alexander Toradze, an artist of "unconventional intelligence, range and creativity," will join principal trumpet Andrew Lott in Shostakovich's brilliant concerto.
