Pittsburgh artist Laurie Trok works in cut paper, ranging in size from small pieces to gallery-sized installations. She begins by cutting paper pieces by hand, advancing to the use of a CNC laser cutter for more complex pieces.
"I am commited to both process and concept, and strive to discover how they coexist. The resulting work is skeletal, alien, organic, playful, emotional, and nostalgic but present. I honor error, and struggle toward a balance between questions and answers"--Laurie Trok
