Playwrights and theatre critics become the targets of hilarious commentary in an evening of two wickedly funny satires, The Pot Boiler and The Real Inspector Hound. Mr. Suds, the "brilliant" and certainly melodramatic playwright, is found at the center of The Pot Boiler's lampooning of melodrama as he leads an aspiring playwright through the process of creating a play and its characters.
The Real Inspector Hound continues this satirical romp with theatre critics Moon and Birdboot when they themselves comment on the theatrics, as playwright Tom Stoppard turns this murder mystery on its head when the line between theatre performers and critics are blurred beyond recognition.
