1. Botanical Conservatory

Come in from the cold and enjoy the lush surroundings of the Botanical Conservatory. Guests can enjoy changing garden designs, art displays, hands-on exploration, family events, and educational classes.

Admission: $5 for adults, $3 for kids ages 3-17, free for age 2 and under

2. Ice Skating at Headwaters Park

Every winter, Headwaters Park transforms into a skating wonderland. Grab the kids and a cup of cocoa from the concession stand on-site, and make some memories under the pavilion.

Admission: $5 for adults, $3 for kids under 13 (free on Wednesday), $2 skate rental

3. Sledding at Franke Park

What would winter be without sledding? Franke Park is often the first choice for visitors and residents alike because of its variety of hills. It’s a great place for adults and children to have some fun.

4. Bowling

Bowling is a fun and affordable winter activity for the entire family. Several area alleys offer games for $3 - $4 per person. Check out Pro Bowl West, Georgetown Entertainment Center, Crazy Pinz, and Thunderbowl #1 for pricing and hours.

5. Fort Wayne’s Farmers Market

Every Saturday throughout the winter, The Fort Wayne Farmers Market is open at Parkview Field in the Lincoln Event Center from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This producer-only market has something for everyone, from produce to baked goods to art and more. If you are lucky, Hetty Arts Pastry will be parked outside with her new mobile van chock full of the best donuts in town.

6. Sweetwater Drum Circle

The first Tuesday of every month, Sweetwater hosts a drum circle. The public is invited to join others to create rhythm and the results are magical. No talent required. Participants need only bring their energy. Sign up online

7. Explore ACRES Land Trust preserves

ACRES Land Trust has acquired over 6,000 acres of natural areas that are permanently protected, and many of those areas are open for the public to explore. Visit the website to plan your visit and explore the beautiful winter wonderlands.

8. The Fort Wayne Farm Show at the Memorial Coliseum

9. Fort Wayne Museum of Art

The crown jewel of the art community in Fort Wayne, the Fort Wayne Museum of Art features permanent and temporary exhibitions of American fine art.

Admission: FREE on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.
