When you go to the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo, it's always a wonderful experience, right? It is for me too! So how could it get any better? Well, how about some of those special events that the zoo puts on! This summer, the zoo has some events that you and your child can enjoy together.
Every Wednesday this May, June, July, and August, the zoo will stay open late for your enjoyment! Last admission will be at 7 p.m. with rides, exhibits, and buildings closing at 7:30.

Have you ever wondered what it was like to be at the zoo after the sun goes down? Well you can this summer by signing up for the "Family Wild Nights" program. You can experience the zoo after dark with a sleepover! How cool is that? It includes educational activities, food, and tons of fun and laughs for the whole family in one single payment. There are two sleep options available; an aquarium sleepover, which is "Sleeping with the Sharks" which will be on August 1, September 11, and October 2 from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m. Or check out the "Sleeping under the Stars" outdoor sleepover on June 20, July 17, and September 5 from 6 p.m. - 9 a.m. Then for the really small children, there's a "Fun with the Fishes Preschool" night on August 28 from 6 p.m. - 9 a.m. Cost for each sleepover is $30/child and $20/adult. All you have to do is choose the theme that works for your family and register.
As if sleepovers at the zoo weren't enough, "Summer Safari Day Camp" programs are also offered at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo. 2015 marks the 26th year for the "Summer Safari Day Camp" and gives us 16 sessions to choose from this summer. There are many options for sessions using the age group of your child, which ranges in age from 3 to 12 years old. The themes also range from "Animal Alphabet" to "Monkey See, Monkey Do" to "Animal Training 101."
If summer day camp at the zoo sounds like something you and your child would want to be involved in, hurry and register. Slots are filling up quickly!
The Fort Wayne Children's Zoo is already a beloved summer attraction, but these events put the zoo over the top!
