Somebody Get Me a Drink!

Finding the perfect cocktail can be as challenging as finding the perfect partner. Everyone has his or her own unqiue taste and desires. Some like strong, bold, and flavorful while others look for smooth, soothing, and easy to sip slowly. Regardless your taste (in drinks that is) Fort Wayne offers a little something for everyone. Vino, please. If you’re looking for a great glass of wine, check out Chops Wine Bar or Eddie Merlot’s on Fort Wayne’s SW side of town. Chops is known for their generous pour (what locals call the “Chop’s pour”) and their upscale winelist. Eddie Merlot’s is also known for it’s upscale wine list and beautiful atmosphere. With wines by the glass or by the bottle (I highly recommend the 2008 Frog’s Leap Cabernet) you’re sure to find a wine you’ll enjoy. Shaken, not stirred. Looking for a girls night out or just a place to unwind? Check out Club Soda and Cork n’ Cleaver for great martini’s. Both are known for their Lemondrop martini’s as well as the classic dirty martini. If you’re hoping to enjoy live music and outdoor seating, head on over to Club Soda. If it’s a classic cozy atmosphere you prefer, stop by Cork n’ Cleaver. A little something unique. Tired of the classic martini or glass of wine? Maybe you just need a good mixed drink. Head on over to Baker Street for a great selection of mixed drinks and a group of professional bartenders who know just how to make the perfect drink. They’ll take great care of you and will get your drink right every time. Don't worry, they have a great wine selection and martini list too. Just give me a beer. Sometimes you just need to put aside the fancy drinks and just have a beer. Check out JK O’Donnell’s, Mad Anthony’s, and Granite City for an ice cold brew. Looking for a pint of Guiness to wash down your fish and chips? Head over to JK’s. Like a locally brewed beer and some great bar food, Mad Anthony’s is where you’ll want to be. Looking for variety in your beer selection? The folks at Granite City will have what you’re looking for. Any local favorites that I've missed? Let me know in the comments below, or check out this more extensive Fort Wayne Nightlife listing.
